6. Bryce Canyon

Yes, we went to Bryce Canyon. Again. We had to, since Linda had never been there before.
We also had to because its on the way from Zion to Capitol Reef. We stayed at Ruby's
Inn Best Western just outside the park, which is a huge complex of about 1500 total
rooms, restaurants, campground, RV park and park tours. Other than the time when
Randy and I camped in the park in 2001, Ruby's Inn is the only place we've ever stayed.

Linda and I rest at the Bryce Canyon sign. The Park Service thoughtfully left a lovely stone pedestal in
front of the sign so you can prop your camera up on it, set the timer and run like hell to get into the picture.

Since the Park Service didn't place a handy stone pedestal near Sunset Point,
we had to enlist the help of a friendly tourist to get this shot of the two of us.

Hikers heading down the Navajo Loop trail. The full trail was closed when we were here
due to a rockslide near the large pine trees that grow up from the middle of the canyon.
